Dr. Shyla Jehangir

Dr. Jehangir provides compassionate, comprehensive care for children of all ages, including:

  • School physicals and pre-participation examinations
  • Paediatric wellness and routine health examinations
  • Growth and developmental assessments
  • Preventive care and health guidance
  • Evaluation of common childhood illnesses and concerns
  • Ongoing care to support children’s health and wellbeing

Dr. Jehangir earned her medical degree from the renowned Christian Medical College and Hospital in Vellore, India, before completing her paediatric training in hospitals across the North of England and obtaining her Diploma in Child Health from the Royal College of Medicine in Glasgow. She then returned to India, serving as a paediatrician in the 50-bed paediatric unit at Holdsworth Memorial Hospital in Mysore.

In 2002, Dr. Jehangir moved to the UK, where she earned her MRCPCH and continued practising paediatrics. She went on to complete a Masters in Allergy from Imperial College London in 2009, then spent eight years establishing and leading paediatric allergy services at North Cumbria Trust Hospital in Carlisle.

Her career brought her to the Cayman Islands as a Paediatric Allergist at Health City. She joined Dr. Abraham’s clinic in September 2021, and since January 2024 has been practising with The Children’s Clinic and General Practice.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Jehangir enjoys gardening, swimming, sewing and quilting, spending time with her dog Whiskey, and singing with the Cayman National Choir.
